Deep in Flow

Deep in Flow

The tribal elders were unanimous: I was the first “Whiteman” ever to arrive here on foot, and the first to paddle down this river. Only a handful of missionaries had dared to venture this deep, and they came by bush plane or motorized canoe. I get it—wading through waist-high swamps infested with leeches, mosquitoes, and crocodiles isn’t for everyone. Still, nothing compares to the feeling of being in your element, doing precisely what you were meant to do. For me, it is not just about traveling but about exploring in novel ways—and that is where I truly thrive.
