Guardians of Knowledge

There was no trail to reach the starting point of my packrafting expedition—no longer. Fragments of it survived only in the memories of a few tribal hunters who had grown up before the widespread use of motorized canoes and who still spent their days roaming the depths of this treacherous jungle. None of them knew the entire route, so at every village I hired a new tracker to guide me onward. And thus, as we hacked our way along forgotten ancestral paths, our numbers grew—one guide at a time, each knowing only how to reach the next settlement.

How many guides did you finish the route with ? In toher words, how many did you have to hire ?

I started with 2 and ended up with 5, so I had to hire 3 along the way!
